A visit to Chew Valley Lake where we saw 2 Oystercatchers, 8 Common Sandpipers, a Green Sandpiper, 2 Ruff, 3 Dunlin and we found a Mole, in the reed-bed, which must have been forced to the surface by resent higher water levels in the lake, a new mammal for us.
From there we went to Cheddar Reservoir, but other than 7 Common Sandpipers there was little else, then to Stock Hill on the Mendips, where we saw 6 Redpolls, 7 Willow Tits, lots of Coal Tits and Goldcrests.
