On the 6th September:

1975

The start of a two week holiday, beginning at Portland where the best was a Ring Ouzel, 2 Wheatears and a Whinchat. Then we went to Radipole Lake, which was quiet, but we did see 2 Black Terns and a Little Gull.

Returning to Portland we covered it more thoroughly seeing a Pied Flycatcher, 5 Rock Pipits, a Corn Bunting, an Ortolan Bunting, 4 Wheatears, 2 Whinchats, a Spotted Flycatcher and lots of Turtle Doves

Then we returned to Radipole Lake where there were now 7 Little Gulls, still the 2 Black Terns, 4 Water Rails and a Spotted Crake, a new bird for us.
