On the 22nd November:

1980

A visit to Chew Valley Lake where one of the Shags was still there, also seen were 11 Bewick's Swans, lots of Wigeon, Goldeneyes, c80 Golden Plovers, a Green Sandpiper and a Kingfisher. At Little Stoke there was the usual Little Owl.

1981

1988

A return to the Magor Reserve to see the American Bittern again, also seeing a Redpoll, a Willow Tit, 2 Marsh Tits, a few Redwings and Fieldfares and 2 Stonechats.

In Madagascar on a BBC sound recording trip, no new birds seen today.

1992

A visit to Slimbridge seeing lots of duck, a few White-fronted Geese, 9 Bewick's Swans, lots of Curlew, a Merlin and a Little Owl.

1993

In New Zealand on a BBC sound recording trip, 1 new bird seen today.

1995

Back at Snettisham, recording waders, seeing much the same as the previous days, this time we saw 5 Little Auks and 2 Black-necked Grebes, then later, we flushed and briefly saw in flight, a Richard's Pipit.
