A visit to Barrow Tanks/Reservoirs seeing 21 Great Crested Grebes, 5 Common Sandpipers, a Greenshank, 2 Common Terns and a Portlandica / 2nd summer plumaged Common Tern.
1978
A visit to Frampton foreshore, from Splatt Bridge, seeing c80 Dunlin, 10+ Ringed Plovers, a Curlew Sandpiper, a Little Ringed Plover, a Green and 4 Common Sandpipers, a Redshank, a Golden Plover, c20 Teal and a Turtle Dove.
1979
A return to Chew Valley Lake where there were now 2 Little Ringed Plovers, 14 Black Terns, a Cuckoo and a Kingfisher.

A visit to Chew Valley Lake seeing 2 Little Egrets, a Slavonian Grebe still with some summer plumage, a Green Sandpiper, 5 Yellow-legged Gulls and 2 Garganey.
