On the 15th November:

1975

A drive south to Hackney Marsh in Devon where there was a Lesser Yellowlegs, a new bird for us. The bird was seen walking on the mud at the edge of the water at the top of the the Teign Estuary, at its closest only a few feet away. Also seen was a Greenshank, c200 Redshank, a Spotted Redshank, a Knot, c300 Dunlin, c25 Grey Plovers, c100 Oystercatchers and 10 Bar-tailed Godwits.

Later, we went to Powderham seeing a few waders and ducks along the River Exe, also an Eider. And, at Dawlish Warren we saw a large flock of scoter a long way out on the sea.
