A visit to Chew Valley Lake where there were good numbers of ducks, 8 Barnacle Geese, a Bewick's Swan and a Green Sandpiper. Then to Cheddar Reservoir seeing a Slavonian Grebe and a Red-crested Pochard.

In Ithaca, New York State, no new bird seen today.

In Madagascar on a BBC sound recording trip, 5 new birds seen today.

In Hong Kong, 5 new birds seen today.
1995
A visit to Chew Valley Lake where there were 5 Bewick's Swans, 56 Golden Plover, 4 Ruff, 2 Black-tailed Godwits, a Water Pipit and good numbers of duck.
