On the 18th August:
1979
A drive to Durleigh Reservoir where there was an immature Red-necked Phalarope, also seeing 5 Common and 2 Green Sandpipers, a Greenshank, 16 Dunlin and we found an adult Mediterranean Gull. From there we went to Steart where there were c1100 Shelducks, a Ruddy Shelduck, a good selection and numbers of waders and a Little Tern.
1995
A visit to Chew Valley Lake where there were 4 Common and 2 Green Sandpipers, an Oystercatcher, 3 Greenshank, a Garganey, 3 Water Rails and 2 Spotted Crakes.
2005
On a visit to Portbury Wharf there were 2 Common, a Green and a Wood Sandpiper.
2018
Juvenile Green Woodpecker feeding on the grass at the back of the flat at Elm Lodge, stayed for quite some time.
