On the 2nd March:

1975

A trip to Weymouth with our first stop at Radipole Lake, where we saw a Little Gull, 42 Snipe, 16 Mute Swans, 51 Teal, 18 Shoveler, 50 Tufted Ducks, 14 Pochard, a male and 2 female Bearded Tits, 2 Grey Wagtails and a Water Rail. Continuing to Ferrybridge we saw a Kittiwake, 300 Dunlin, a Ringed Plover, 11 Turnstone and on the harbour 31 Red-breasted Mergansers.

In the fields at Portland were lots of Stock Doves, a Corn Bunting and a finch flock, mainly Linnets and Greenfinches. From the bill we saw 2 Gannets, 11 Purple Sandpipers, 20 Fulmars, lots of Kittiwakes, 10 Shags, 5 Guillemots, 5 Cormorants and 2 Rock Pipits.

Calling in at the Nothe, on the way back, we saw another or the same Little Gull and 4 Rock Pipits.

1986

In Pakistan, in Kirthar National Park, 2 new birds and a new mammal seen today.

2003

A visit to Portbury Wharf just after high tide, on the pool there was the male Ring-necked Duck which had been in the area sometime, also 6 Tufted Ducks, a Pochard, 5 Little Grebes, 6 Coot and Mallard.

On the saltmarsh and mud, 21 Meadow Pipits, 3 Reed Buntings, 43 Shelduck, 8 Curlew, 60+ Redshank, 22 Dunlin, 16 Ringed Plover,

26 Lapwing, 15+ Linnets, about 50 Teal, 5 Snipe and a Fox.

2013

A visit to Aust Warth where the 2 Twite were on show.
