On the 23rd July:

1980

An evening drive south to West Sedge Moor to see a Lesser Grey Shrike, the bird had moved from the field it was first found in to a line of trees behind, close approach was restricted by a ditch but we still had good, clear views until dusk.

1986

Arrived in Quito, Ecuador for an overnight stay, 3 new birds seen today.

1997

On a sound recording trip to the Picos de Europa Mountains in Northwest Spain.

2005

A visit to New Passage and Northwick Warth, where amongst the 300+ Black-headed Gulls was an adult Mediterranean Gull and on the estuary 2 Common Scoter.
