On the 26th June:

1983

A return to Chew Valley Lake where we saw the Purple Heron and Hobby again.

1985

Leading a birdwatching holiday to Northern Spain. A new mammal and a new reptile seen today.

1989

In Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario on a sound recording trip for the BBC series 'Land of the Eagle'. 

1994

A visit to Chew Valley Lake where there were plenty of ducks and 80+ Great Crested Grebes, 1,000's of Swifts, 3 Green Sandpipers, 4 Redshank and a Ringed Plover. At Westhay Reserve lots of warblers and 2 Hobbys.

2013

Back at Slimbridge again, where there was a Spoonbill, 2 Common Terns, 40+ Black-tailed Godwits, 10+ Redshanks, c50 Lapwings, 20+ Oystercatchers, and on the Rushy 6 Avocets, 2 pairs with 3 chicks each.
