On the 8th August:

1982

A visit to Chew Valley Lake where there were 15 Common and 9 Green Sandpipers, 2 Wood Sandpipers, 3 Greenshank, a Redshank, 3 Spotted Redshank, a Ruff, 9 Snipe, 17 Dunlin, 12 Ringed Plovers, 3 Little Ringed Plovers, 4 Ruddy Ducks, 2 Garganey and 4 Chinese Geese.

2004

Boarding the Scillonian at 4.30am in Penzance for an all day pelagic trip to south of the Isles of Scilly, during the cruise there were 100+ Gannets, 150+ Lesser Black-backed Gulls, c100 Storm Petrels, 50+ Fulmars, 10 Common Terns, 2 Black Terns, 20+ Kittiwakes, an adult Sabine's Gull, 30+ Great Black-backed Gulls, a Wilson's Petrel, 6 Manx Shearwaters, 4 Cory's Shearwaters, a Sooty Shearwater, 7 Great Skuas, an Arctic Skua, a Knot, 7 Turnstone and c20 Common Dolphins.

2006

A visit to Orchard Pools near Severn Beach where there was the regions first Small Red-eyed Damselfly. Also around the pools I saw another 4 species of dragonflies and 2 species of damselflies.

2013

2017

A visit to Slimbridge where I saw a Little Ringed Plover, 11 Green Sandpipers, a Little Egret and 5 Buzzards.

A visit to Slimbridge where there were at least 10 Ruff, 3 Common and 16+ Green Sandpipers, 2 Wood Sandpipers, 2 Grey Wagtails, 12+ Redshank, 100+ Black-tailed Godwits, Lapwing, c12 Dunlin and 2 Common Cranes.
