On the 29th November:
1975
A visit to Chew Valley Lake where there were 2 Long-tailed Ducks, other ducks, c200 Dunlin, c40 Golden Plover, c2000 Lapwing and lots of Snipe.
1977
A visit to Chittening Warth where there were a few waders and a flock of c50 Chaffinches containing 5 Bramblings.
1988
In Madagascar on a BBC sound recording trip, 1 new bird seen today.
1993
In Australia, on a BBC sound recording trip, 22 new birds, a new mammal and 2 new reptiles seen today.

2002
A visit to Portbury Wharf where apart from the usual birds, there was a male Ring-necked Duck, 4 Stonechats and a Peregrine.
2014
A drive into Bristol, to Bishopston where around the gardens and buildings there was an adult Rose-coloured Starling.
