A day at Chew Valley Lake, starting along the north shore, where we saw a Bearded Tit and heard more, a Chiffchaff, a Redpoll, 3 Water Pipits and 3 Long-tailed Ducks, around the rest of the lake there were 62 Dunlin, 6 Green Sandpipers, 5 Goosanders and 77 Ruddy Ducks.
In the afternoon we rushed to the east shore where a Greater Sandplover had been found, we had good views until it was flushed by a Peregrine.
