A day at Steart seeing 300+ Redshank, 25 Spotted Redshank, a summer plumaged Knot, 500+ Dunlin, a Curlew Sandpiper, a Common Sandpiper, 2 Wood Sandpipers, 6 Grey Plovers, 4 Little Stints - a summer plumaged adult and 3 immatures, 25+ Ringed Plovers, 3 Greenshank, 8 Bar-tailed Godwits, c300 Curlew, a Turnstone, 48 Oystercatchers, a Whimbrel, 26 Black-tailed Godwits, lots of Lapwing, c400 Shelducks, an immature female Peregrine watched mobbing a Kestrel then chasing a pigeon, 3 Yellow Wagtails and 3 Wheatears.
1995
A Pied Flycatcher was seen in the tree in my garden in Portishead this morning.
2019
From the flat window at Elm Lodge, Cam, there was an immature male Green Woodpecker feeding on the grass, with another calling from nearby trees.
