In northwest Spain on a sound recording trip to the Picos de Europa mountains.

A drive to Uphill, near Weston-super-Mare to see a Balearic Woodchat Shrike (race badius) which was seen on bushes by the golf course. A 4th UK record of this race.
2014
In Looe, Cornwall, visiting friends, I drove to the car park by the river, from where I saw at least 5 Little Egret nests with 8 large chicks, also 2 Grey Heron nests with almost fledged chicks.
2016
A visit to Steart with Roy Smith, where we saw a White Stork, a Little Ringed Plover, Oystercatchers, Redshanks, a Hobby, and several species of warblers.
