On the 9th December:

1979

A day in Weymouth, our first stop was Sandsfoot Castle overlooking Portland Harbour where we saw a Black-throated Diver, 6 Red-breasted Mergansers, 2 Razorbills and a Slavonian Grebe. Then we went to the other side of the harbour, where from The Verne overlooking the Naval Harbour we saw a Little Auk, then to Lodmoor seeing a Grey Phalarope. Finally, at Radipole Lake where there were lots of gulls, lots of Pochard and 5 Scaup.
