On the 10th April:

1976

A visit to Brean Down where the best was a Willow Warbler and 2 Grey Partridges. At Cheddar Reservoir of note were 2 White Wagtails, a Yellow Wagtail, a Common Scoter and a female Scaup.

1977

Overnight at Sandwich Bay were in the morning on a walk around the golf course we saw a Black Redstart, 4 Tree Sparrows and 2 Chiffchaffs.

Then a drive to Stodmarsh where we saw the Glossy Ibis again, 6 Cetti's Warblers, 4 Sedge Warblers, Bearded Tits, a Garganey, a Kingfisher and 2 Yellow Wagtails.

On the way home we stopped at Larkey Valley Wood where there were 4 Hawfinches, 9 Bank Voles, 2 Marsh Tits, a Nuthatch, a Treecreeper, about 10 Redpolls and a female Hen Harrier.

1982

A visit to Chew Valley Lake where the best birds were 9 White Wagtails, a Yellow Wagtail, a Water Pipit, 2 Common Sandpipers,

78 Goldeneye, a Little Owl, a 1st summer Little Gull, c20 Pochard and 27 Ruddy Ducks.

1983

Leading a Wingspan Bird Tour to Spain, a new lizard seen today.

1984

Co-leading a joint Wingspan/Ibis and Bristol Ornithological Club tour to Cyprus. 2 new birds seen today.

1988

In Arizona on a sound recording trip, no new birds today.
