1987

In North Carolina on a BBC sound recording trip, no new birds seen today.

2003

All day on St. Mary's, seeing 8 Chiffchaffs, a Peregrine, 6 Firecrests, 2 Blackcaps, a Woodcock, a Black Redstart, a Whinchat, a Brambling and lots of waders on the beaches.

2012

In the garden in Portishead the male Brambling was still visiting the feeder with a small group of Chaffinches, also 3 Jays.

2014

A drive to the Marshfield area where there was a Great Grey Shrike, also seen were lots of Skylarks and Corn Buntings, several Yellowhammers, a Reed Bunting, 4 Red-legged Partridges and several Buzzards.

2015

A drive to Sand Bay, where in the trees around Sand Point Car Park there was a Firecrest, 6+ Goldcrests, 2 Chiffchaffs, 2 Bullfinches and a Redpoll flying over.

2016

A quick drive to Blagdon Lake to see a reported White-tailed Eagle, but it didn't show. Seen were 8 Great White Egrets, 10+ Little Egrets, a Peregrine and lots of ducks, gulls and Canada geese.
