On the 3rd August:

1975

A trip south to Weymouth, starting at Radipole Lake seeing 7 Bearded Tits, 2 Little Gulls, Reed and Sedge Warblers, a Garganey, 14 Teal and a Sandwich Tern.

Then to Portland and a sea-watch seeing c180 Gannets, Guillemots, 4 Manx Shearwaters, 2 Great Skuas and a very dark looking falcon coming in off the sea, which was almost certainly a Red-footed Falcon, one was seen later in the day along the East Cliffs. Inland, we saw 2 Little Owls, a few warblers and 4 Wheatears.

1980

A visit to Chew Valley Lake seeing a Turnstone, 22 Common and 4 Green Sandpipers, 3 Whimbrel, a Curlew, a Wood Sandpiper, 11 Common Terns, 6 Black Terns, 2 Cuckoos, 2 Kingfishers and a  Ring-necked Duck.

1986

In Ecuador escorting  a wildlife tour, 7 new birds, 2 new mammals and a new amphibian seen today.

1997

On a sound recording trip to Italy, to Stelvio National Park in the Alps.

2011

A visit to Chew Valley Lake where there were 10 Little Egrets, a Common and 3 Green Sandpipers, 9 Little Ringed Plovers, 2 juvenile Water Rails and an adult Yellow-legged Gull.
