On the 27th May:

1977

In Weymouth, we boarded the ferry for Guernsey, for a weeks visit staying with Laurel's dad. on the crossing there were lots of gulls, a few Kittiwakes, c200 Gannets and a Swallow going north.

1978

Our weekend started in the New Forest, at Beaulieu Road where we saw 4 Woodlarks, a Wheatear, 2 Tree Pipits, a Wood Warbler, at least 8 Stonechats, 4 Green Woodpeckers, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Spotted Flycatchers, lots of Snipe, Curlew, Lapwing, Stock Doves and Willow Warblers, 6 Redshank, 4 Kestrels, 2 Sparrowhawks, a Buzzard, 3 Cuckoos and at least 2 Hobbys. At Beaulieu Pond there was a Little and Common Tern, at nearby Hill Top we saw 5 Darford Warblers, lots of Stonechats, 2 more Kestrels and a Whitethroat.

1981

In Michigan, 5 new birds seen today, including finding a 1st state record.
