On the 2nd August:

1975

A visit to Barrow Tanks/Reservoirs where there was an immature Black Tern, 12 Common Sandpipers and a Dunlin. Then to Chew Valley Lake seeing 3 Redshank, 2 Snipe, 11 Common Sandpipers, 3 Green Sandpipers, a Wood Sandpiper which was a new bird for us, a Ruddy Duck, a Kingfisher, 3 Little Ringed Plovers and 2 Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers with another heard.

1982

A visit to Chew Valley Lake seeing 11 Common and 5 Green Sandpipers, a Greenshank, a Spotted Redshank, 2 Dunlin, 14 Snipe, 4 Little Ringed Plovers, a Black Tern, a Little Tern, a Garganey, a Kingfisher, 2 Yellow Wagtails, a Little Owl and an Osprey.

1986

In Ecuador escorting  a wildlife tour, 48 new birds, a new mammal and 2 new reptiles seen today.

1997

On a sound recording trip to Italy, to Stelvio National Park in the Alps.

2009

A visit to Chew Valley Lake where I saw 2 Cattle Egrets, an adult and a juvenile, also 2 Little Egrets, a Grey Heron and the usual ducks and gulls.
