On the 14th December:

1975

Another visit to Hackney Marsh in Devon, where we saw the Lesser Yellowlegs again, which was now more flighty. There were lots of waders including 75+ Redshank, 2000+ Dunlin and 12 Black-tailed Godwits. Later, we went to Dawlish Warren seeing a Slavonian Grebe, a pair of Black Redstarts, 177 Brent Geese, 550 Knot, 150 Bar-tailed Godwits, 80 Grey Plover, 10+ Curlew, c200 Oystercatchers, 9 Sanderling, 6 Turnstone, 30+ Redshank, 50+ Ringed Plovers, 300+ Dunlin and 10 Red-breasted Mergansers.

1986

On holiday in California, 2 new birds seen today.

1993

In Australia on a sound recording trip, 3 new birds seen today.
