On a sound recording trip to the Picos de Europa Mountains in Northwest Spain.
2013
A return to Ham Wall on the Somerset Levels, and although I got there early, I failed to see any Little Bitterns this time, but did see 2 Bitterns, 2 male Marsh Harriers, a Hobby, a Great White Egret and a Little Egret. Later, I crossed the road to Shapwick where I saw 2 more Marsh Harriers, 2 Bearded Tits, another Great White Egret and 6 Little Egrets.
2016
A visit to Ham Wall, seeing a Kingfisher, 10+ Little Egrets, hearing lots of Water Rails, 2 Glossy Ibises, 6+ Grey Herons, a Great White Egret, several Great Crested Grebes, a Green Sandpiper, a Bittern - although a Little Bittern reported I didn't see it, a Hobby, 3 Marsh Harriers, a Jay and lots of warblers.
